Ducati, Jack Miller loses patience: ‘Do as you did with Ferrari’
Ducati, Jack Miller impatient with controversy over teamwork
The controversy over team play among the 8 Ducatis to help Pecco Bagnaia has impatient Jack Miller, who in an interview with Motorsport wanted to set the record straight: “I have the feeling that everyone has an opinion about the Italian constructors. If you look at Formula 1, Ferrari is targeted no matter what decisions are made. The same goes for Ducati. And this happens because the faces of the bosses are very visible, they are like characters and this makes them more vulnerable, it exposes them much more than others. Who will they criticize at Yamaha, Lin Jarvis? Lin Jarvis works at Yamaha, so it’s different. Other than that, Ducati has its cards, but there are many variables.”
On the eight riders on the grid: “But what if none of these riders are in the lead? Then, none of the plans you can design make sense. In my opinion, what happened in Motegi, in the middle of the group, between Pecco and Enea, should not have happened. It was stupid, it was an example of a rider who didn’t have clear ideas at that moment. I have been in that position before, with Dovizioso and also with Bagnaia. And I was very clear about my role. There is no glory in fighting for fourth or fifth place.”
