F1, Flavio Briatore lashes out at FIA
Former team manager considers current FIA not up to the task
“In every race we have a problem. It can be ruined not only a race, but also the show and the World Championship. The FIA is a company and to function it has to use the right people. It has almost 200 employees, and companies of this kind need to be led by capable managers in all areas. At the moment that kind of quality does not exist. The FIA needs to be run by professionals; that is crucial.”
These are the two words of Flavio Briatore, former F1 team manager, reported by Marca. A harsh attack on the FIA, guilty of making, according to the 72-year-old businessman, too many serious mistakes. In particular, he did not like the long wait for the verdict related to Sergio Perez’s infraction.
