Lucrezia Stefanini retires after one hour
No luck for Lucrezia Stefanini in Tunisia.
Lucrezia Stefanini’s adventure in the WTA tournament in Monastir, Tunisia, is over. The Carmignano tennis player, who came from the qualifiers, after beating Poland’s Linette in the first round, withdrew in the second against France’s Diane Parry.
The Azzurra was forced to retire after an hour of play when she was down 6-3, 1-0 against the transalpine world number 65. Stefanini from next week will rise to number 140 in the WTA rankings, her best ranking ever.
