Valentino Rossi takes stock of his 2022 in GT: “My physique also readjusted, with motorcycles the effort was different”

Valentino Rossi took final stock of his 2022 in GT World Challenge Europe at Sky’s microphones. The Doctor ended the season with the WRT team with a fine sixth place in Barcelona: “You have to work hard, there is a lot of work to be done on so many things, not only on the speed of the car, and then you have to go fast but drive clean because these cars are production derivatives and they are very heavy.”

The progress from the beginning of the season is clear: “You can’t overdo it because then the tires suffer and so it’s very fine driving. Last week in Valencia was the track where I tested the car for the first time, going back there after a year I noticed how I go better especially on the fast, how I can control the car better.”

Everything is different: “My body also got used to it and changed, my neck my arms, because with motorcycles it’s a different effort. It was more or less what I expected, I knew it would not be easy however I enjoyed it. I will be there again next year,” promised the Doctor.
