F1 drivers market, Mercedes pounces on Daniel Ricciardo

Mercedes has made an offer to the Mercedes driver.

Daniel Ricciardo, cut by McLaren for the end of 2022, is the most illustrious name still without a steering wheel ahead of next season. The Australian driver, who has also received offers from U.S. teams to go to Nascar, would like to stay in the Formula 1 circus, but only in the event of a major offer.

According to Canal+, however, Ricciardo is reportedly considering another option, that of a third driver or test driver role for Mercedes, and thus first replacement for George Russell and Lewis Hamilton should the need arise. The driver in Singapore was filmed leaving the Mercedes hospitality, another hint about his future. Ricciardo stalled for the time being without making a statement at a press conference.
