Spal, Joe Tacopina reiterates his goal to fans

The president of the Estense club began like this, “I wanted to take stock with you and in particular talk about the renewals of 3 key players for our club. As we promised from the very beginning, after the conclusion of the summer market we would focus on renewals and today I am particularly proud of the transactions involving Lorenzo Dickmann, Demba Thiam and Salvatore Esposito. They are three important players for the fans, but they are also and above all three key elements of our future.”

The Spal number one then firmly reiterated his main goal: “You all know that the big goal is to bring SPAL back to Serie A. That is why I am here, it is my personal goal and we will achieve it, I can assure you. The short- and medium-term goal, however, is to continue to grow as a group and improve on the field day by day because ours is a young group and it needs time to compact itself.”

Finally, a mention for the Spallini fans: “I am very satisfied with the response of the fans, I love to see the stadium full, they are our 12th man on the field. I’m sorry for Saturday’s result against Genoa, but it’s just one game, we have to look ahead. When I am in the city I feel the affection and gratitude of the fans. I feel they appreciate the work we are doing, and for me that is the most important thing.”
