Charles Leclerc comments on his third place finish in Japan and Verstappen’s title

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc commented with some frustration on his Japanese Grand Prix finish of third place: “Today was really a struggle and suffering with the tires in the last laps. It had happened before: we start well but then after a few laps we destroy the tires. It’s frustrating. Today we had no rhythm, the pace was gone after four laps, but that’s how it went.”

On Verstappen’s victory: “I give big congratulations to Max on his second title. We will keep pushing until the end. The goal is to finish the year well. Max’s title was only a matter of time, now we have to use these last races to improve as a team and do better next year.”
