Gianluigi Donnarumma: Buffon’s final sentence.

During the Scopigno Awards ceremony, Gigi Buffon dwelt on Gianluigi Donnarumma: “We are in very good hands, he is on an exceptional path. He has uncommon qualities, I think he was the best goalkeeper who could take my place.”

The Parma goalkeeper had his say on the Serie A championship: “It is beautiful, in a deserved and overpowering way there are two realities like Udinese, unexpected, and Atalanta, which are doing very well. Napoli then is amazing, for what it expresses and for the goals it scores. Then there is the confirmation of a great Milan and some difficulties of Juventus. A lot depends on the absences, as Allegri says, really important ones. Then I stop, I don’t want to say words that are not comforting and helpful. I’m waiting for the next games to be played, then Allegri will find the crux of the matter.”

In closing, a line dedicated to Paulo Dybala, who was injured during the match against Lecce: “I send him a big hug and congratulate him for what he is doing. I am sure he needed a new challenge, and he chose the best one for him. I am convinced that he is overjoyed. I hope he’ll be on track for the World Cup.”
