Yamaha rider shrugs off pressure
Reigning world champion Fabio Quartararo spoke in statements reported by ‘FormulaPassion’ just days before the third-last round of the MotoGP season at the Australian track of Philip Island.
‘The result in Thailand was very disappointing,’ began the Yamaha rider, fresh off a 17th place finish at the Buriram circuit.
“After Buriram I was able to focus on preparing for the final part of the season. I spent the week training, because we will have two consecutive races that will be very important, but I don’t feel worried. The world championship is now being played out by restarting on a level playing field, so it’s about doing our best, working well and bringing home as many points as possible,” continued Quartararo, who is in the middle of the fight for the world championship with Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia, who is only two points behind the Frenchman in the championship standings.
