F1, Gunther Steiner gets off the hook on Mick Schumacher’s future
Gunther Steiner gets off balance
Although there are no official announcements whatsoever yet, Mick Schumacher could remain at Haas through the 2023 season. This was confirmed by Gunther Steiner, team principal of the Ferrari-powered team.
“The starting driver is like playing at home,” are Steiner’s words reported by ‘Marca’ just days before the Circus’ trip to Austin. “It’s an advantage to work with someone already for two years. Bringing someone new can is more difficult because in this world there is no time to learn.”
“That is why we chose Kevin Magnussen (when Nikita Mazepin was removed just before the start of the season, ed.). He was away for a year but he already knew everyone, he did not start from scratch,” concluded the South Tyrolean executive.
