Paula Badosa lashes out at haters: ‘It’s too much for me’
Paula Badosa explained her decision to leave social media
Paula Badosa in an interview with Wtatour.com explained her decision to delete her social profiles, “Sometimes I feel bad talking about it, because I feel privileged for who I am now, but at the same time it’s hard for me. Now many people know me, they expect me to win every game, every time I go to the press people talk about what I say, so it’s a process to learn to live with it. Even though I have many fans I can’t understand why there are people who hate me if they don’t know me.”
The Spanish tennis player felt conditioned by people’s comments, “When I lose a match and I see messages on social media it’s the worst thing I can do, because each person has their own opinion and it’s usually not good. You read things that you don’t like and that hurt you. So I left social, it was too much for me. I couldn’t sleep, because I thought people might be right, that I wasn’t a good tennis player.”
