VR46, Luca Marini: “Still undecided for the race.”
Valentino Rossi’s brother Luca Marini: “Good feelings with all the specifications, you have to make the right choice”
Team VR46 centaur Luca Marini commented satisfied with his seventh time in qualifying for the Australian GP: “I’m happy, we made a good step forward from yesterday even if we still have a little something to fix. In FP3 we tried the hard front but we were not perfect, while on the rear it was not bad at all. Even on the time attack I had a margin, not so much on the final position but on myself. The strategy didn’t work as well as it could and the rear tire gives out a lot, especially at T4. Therefore, it was crucial to hit the chrono on the first attempt. I didn’t succeed, but the feeling is good.”
Looking ahead to the race, Valentino Rossi’s brother admits he still has doubts: “I’m still undecided for the race configuration: the specifications are very similar, I don’t feel like ruling anything out at the moment. Everything will depend on the temperatures, the front tire also has significant wear.”
