Inter, Simone Inzaghi gets some stones off his shoe
Simone Inzaghi doesn’t hide
After Inter Milan’s success over Salernitana, Simone Inzaghi spoke to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ without hiding from questions regarding criticism — and rumors of possible exoneration — preceding especially the double-header against Barcelona in the Champions League.
“We coaches are always under discussion,” said the coach from Piacenza. “Even at Lazio there have been similar situations, these are tough environments, every defeat weighs a lot. However, I only think about the field, I see the boys helping each other. As for myself, I have always tried to work serenely, I know what I am doing and what has been done. The confrontation that Bastoni mentioned? Actually there always are, it is important that the club, players and staff confront each other all the time.”
Inzaghi then focused on some tactical changes, such as the choice of deploying Calhanoglu in a more backward position than usual: “I have Mkhitaryan who is working very well and so I opted for Calhanoglu as a regista, he is giving me very good answers,” he said. “Asllani? He will be an added value for Inter for years, he has come in very well.”
