NBA, Golden State spenders: Bob Myers doesn’t hide
483 million dollars in salaries in 2023/24
It’s all the talk in the States. The Golden State Warriors have renewed the contracts of Poole (140 million for four years) and 109 million (also for four seasons), greatly exceeding the salary cap (they will, in fact, pay the well-known luxury tax to the NBA). As ESPN reports, in 2023/24, the franchise will spend $483 million just to pay the salaries of its players.
“I know what the numbers are… I can’t evaluate what we’re going to do next season until we see what happens this season. All I know is this: there is a great commitment to win. There always has been and I believe there always will be. I am fortunate to be part of this ownership that has clear ideas. Its actions certify that,” the words of Warriors GM Myers.
