F1 Mercedes, Toto Wolff raises the tone against Red Bull: harsh words
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff on budget cap: “I don’t want to be in the judges’ shoes but…”
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff at the microphones of GpFans thundered again over Red Bull’s violation of the budget cap. The Austrian executive expects exemplary punishment: “I don’t want to be in the judges’ shoes. The drivers work hard to be at the top. There are decisions made by the team that do not involve them. However, in the end, you sit in a car produced on steroids. It’s a difficult decision, and I wouldn’t want to make a judgment.”
“My thoughts are more about a matter of principle. How will we deal with this issue in the future? How solid are these regulations? How are they enforced and monitored? How will the governance process take place? I ask these questions because we don’t know how the judges will decide, and so this is a learning process for all of us,” Wolff concluded.
