F1, Lewis Hamilton sends a clear message to Mercedes
Lewis Hamilton is already looking ahead to 2023 and spurring the Mercedes team on
After years of success Lewis Hamilton is coming off a season of transition, but the seven-time world champion is trying to maintain optimism while spurring the team working to create Mercedes 2023 to do their utmost to try to get closer to Red Bull and Ferrari in what, at least by contract, could be the British champion’s last season for the Brackley-based stable.
“Look at Red Bull, they have a fantastic car,” he said in an interview with ‘Sky Sports Uk.’ “They have done an incredible job as a team and most likely the car will continue to evolve. Similar discourse can be made for Ferrari, although they have had some problems this season. As for us, we need to take a step back and go in a different direction and hopefully get on the right track and get back into the fight for victory.”
“Thanks to the data we collected, we learned a lot,” added number 44. I tried everything, every setting even a hundred times: I paid the price in the first part of the season but all this will have to be useful to the team, which will have to understand what goes well and what doesn’t.”
