Valentino Rossi, biography and trivia about the MotoGp Doctor
Valentino Rossi can be considered in his own right as among the most important performers in the history of MotoGP. Speaking for him is not only the boundless talent he has shown in his varied years of activity but also a trophy cabinet full of world championships and trophies, won in every part of the planet.
Graziano, Valentino Rossi’s dad
Valentino Rossi was born in Urbino, Italy, on February 16, 1979. His daddy, Graziano, was a good centaur: in the 250 class, in the very year of his son’s birth, he won three Grand Prix, in Yugoslavia, Holland and Sweden, and finished third overall, behind South African Kork Ballington and Australian Gregg Hansford and ahead of Randy Mamola, who would later become a star in the 500. For Graziano also six seasons in the premier class, from 1977 to 1982, without successes but with a couple of podiums, on which he climbed in 1980 at the Grand Prix of Nations (he finished third) and in the Grand Prix of Holland, where he placed second. In 1982, a bad accident at Imola could have cost him dearly: he also got off thanks to the timely intervention of the mobile clinic. After getting off the motorcycle Graziano did not leave the world of motorsport and participated in a couple of Rally Championship rounds, however without achieving great results.
