MotoGp, Fabio Quartararo snarls: “We are stranded, I have nothing left to lose”
Fabio Quartararo with no more certainty: “I don’t have to think too much, I just have to go to the limit”
Fabio Quartararo sees his throne as world champion wavering: in Sepang Bagnaia already has a chance to win the MotoGp title. The French rider promises battle: “In the last few races I haven’t had much fun, but now I’m in a situation where I don’t have to think too much, I just have to go to the limit. By now I have nothing to lose. I think we will have to have, of course, a different mentality, and of course I will do this GP with a different frame of mind.”
On Bagnaia’s max recovery: “To be honest, we were never comfortable, we always struggled, even when we were winning races. In Barcelona, I didn’t think I would be able to get away so much. In Germany, my performance was good, but we ventured a tire that was risky. In Portimao we had rainy conditions all weekend, and we know we ended the weekend the way we started it in terms of setup. In fact, we started the race and on lap four I set the track record. We were able to be there and that’s what made the difference. But the second part of the season was horrible, when others made huge progress, we stalled. In these last two races, however, I will try to change that, Sepang is one of my favorite tracks. We will have to do the best qualifying possible, then we will see.”
