MotoGp, Binder shines in Sepang first free practice: Bagnaia hides
Uphill start to weekend for Aprilia
With the first free practice, the appointment with the Malaysian Grand Prix has officially begun, where Pecco Bagnaia will try to materialize his first match point and bring home the World Championship (the Ducati rider has a 14-point lead over Fabio Quartararo with two races to go).
Brad Binder, on KTM, was the best in the first free practice session at Sepang. Marc Marquez’s third place was excellent while Fabio Quartararo finished with the seventh time. Pecco Bagnaia only 11th, without forcing it. Lots of slips on the track.
Francesco, aka ‘Pecco,’ Bagnaia after winning the Moto2 world championship in 2018 with Sky Racing Team VR46, will make his MotoGpin debut in 2019 riding the Ducati of Team Pramac Racing. In September 2020, he will score his first podium in the top MotoGP category at Misano.
The following year he switched to the official Ducati team and finished the championship in second place, behind the French Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo.
