MotoGp, Ducati: Jorge Lorenzo is incredulous
Former Ducati centaur Jorge Lorenzo: “They did an incredible job.”
Former Ducati centaur Jorge Lorenzo, who was in Sepang for the Malaysian Grand Prix, had this to say about the world title race: “Bagnaia has these 14 points lead in the standings that can be crucial especially since they are racing in Sepang this weekend, a track favorable to Ducati.”
The Mallorcan rider is impressed by the work Ducati is doing: “Ducati has done an incredible job, we have to think that ten years ago their bikes were 1 or 2 seconds slower than the pole position, while now they are the ones who almost always start at the pole with several riders, so it means that they have done an impeccable job that it is the others who need to improve. If there are too many eight Ducatis on the grid? I don’t see why, since the regulations allow it,” the words taken from Sportface.
After six titles won by Valentino Rossi in eight years it was the Spanish riders who took the lion’s share of the MotoGp world championship. From 2012 to 2020 only they have won, with Jorge Lorenzo, twice a world champion, Marc Marquez (6) and Joan Mir, triumphant in 2020 with his Suzuki.
