Team VR46 rider Luca Marini commented satisfied with his sixth place in the official MotoGp qualifying in Austin: “A good qualifying and a good lap in Q2. We confirm the important growth of the last period, we are always consistently in the Top-6, in all conditions, not only today with this heat,” explained Valentino Rossi’s brother.

“At the first attempt I set my fastest lap, but I made a mistake in T4 – continued the Ducati rider – I didn’t have a very good grip and I wasn’t perfect in T1. In any case, the gap to the front row is small and we can do well tomorrow. I don’t have a great pace, in FP3 and FP4 I struggled. I am fast, but in the most driven sector I can improve a lot.”
