Marcell Jacobs sends a message to young people
The Padua Gazette reports statements from Marcell Jacobs, who was honored by the Veneto city’s Panathlon International Club.
“Padua is in fact my city,” explained the athletics star: it is home to the Fiamme Oro in which there are the first people who believed in me, allowed me to train with perseverance, commitment and dedication, giving me the chance to be at these levels. From my experience I can say that young people need a lot of motivation, I try to be an example for them, and coaches play a key role because they help them grow on and off the track, inviting them to believe in themselves and bring out that talent that everyone has in any field.”
