Decisive recovery minutes in Europe.

Champions League that on Wednesday night of the cup gives emotions and some surprise results. But also twists and sensational mocks with 90 minutes largely gone. This is the case, for example, with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham and Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham took a risk in London against Sporting, only to claw back a 1-1 draw. Edwards scored for the Portuguese from Lisbon in the 22nd minute, Bentancur for the hosts in the 80th minute. In the 96th minute, however, it was Kane who sent the English stadium into raptures with a goal later disallowed by Var for offside. And Conte went from irrepressible joy at the qualifying goal to a red card for protest: Spurs are still one point away from clinching the round of 16.

Already eliminated, on the other hand, is Atletico Madrid, which came back twice at home against Bayer Leverkusen but did not go beyond a 2-2 draw. After goals by Diaby, Carrasco, Hudson-Odoi and De Paul it was even the 99th minute when the penalty shot arrived for the hosts. But Carrasco had it parried by Hradecky before a resounding back-and-forth with the ball eventually failing to enter the net and dooming the Colchoneros.

Liverpool won 3-0 in Amsterdam against Ajax and remains in contention with Napoli for first place in Group A. It was the same result in Barcelona, where Bayern won against the already eliminated Blaugrana and secured victory in Group C, where Inter are qualified but certain of second place overall. Finally, Eintracht Frankfurt won against Marseille: 2-1 the final result.
