MotoGp, 12 months without Valentino Rossi: Carlo Pernat is blunt
Carlo Pernat on the post Valentino Rossi: “It was a very hard blow but…”
MotoGp manager Carlo Pernat in an interview with Mowmag took stock of the first MotoGp World Championship without legend Valentino Rossi: “Vale’s farewell was a very hard blow and there is a need to react in a studied and calibrated way so as not to lose too much audience, however, if we go and watch, at least we Italians, we have something to be passionate about.”
Pernat refers to Pecco Bagnaia, the world championship leader and close to the title, and his aide Enea Bastianini, who will join the Turin-based rider in the official Ducati team next season: “In this 2022 there have been two Italian riders who have played for the world championship until the end, riding two Italian bikes, and one will probably win it as well, there has been a Ducati that has overridden and an Aprilia that has been consistently among the top.”
Last words on Bezzecchi: “There are some riders who are coming up really well. Take Marco Bezzecchi, for example, that guy is really strong, he reminds me a little bit of Enea, Carlo Pernat tells you!”
