Copa Libertadores, usual Gabigol gives Flamengo title
Third Copa Libertadores for Flamengo.
After losing last season’s final, Flamengo returns to win the Copa America. The grand final with Athletico Paranaense was settled by a goal from Gabigol in the first half recovery. It should be noted that Athletico Paranaense played with ten men from 43′ of the first half (double yellow card to Pedro Henrique).
For Flamengo, this is the third Copa Libertadores in its history. Gabigol, voted MVP of the Match, this is his fourth goal in a Copa Libertadores final, a competition in which he has already scored a whopping 29 goals (record co-hosted with Luizao). Also in the ranks of the winning Flamengo are several former Serie A players such as Vidal, Pulgar and Diego (the latter seen in a Juventus jersey), as well as Gabigol, a former Inter Milan center forward.
