Elisabetta Cocciaretto does not hide her excitement

Putting her first triumph at the WTA 125 level, which came after beating Magda Linette 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, Elisabetta Cocciaretto is not in her skin and can also rejoice at what will be her personal best ranking from Monday, the number 64 position in the WTA world rankings.

“It was a very hard week, I played many difficult matches with great opponents,” are Cocciaretto’s words collected by Ubitennis. “When in the decisive game I saw the ball stop on the net I said, ‘Oh my God, I won.’ And it was unexpected because it was a fantastic tournament with an incredible level.”

For Elisabetta Cocciaretto the one she won in Mexico, on cement, is her first trophy on the WTA circuit. She had previously reached two finals, in Prague in 2020 and Makarska in June 2022, losing to Kristina Kucova and Jule Neimeier, respectively.
