Honda centaur Marc Marquez in an interview with As spoke about the rising stars of Spanish motorcycling: Pedro Acosta, winner of the Moto3 title in 2021, and Izan Guevara, fresh winner of the 2022 World Championship in the third class.

Two talents who could also have their say in MotoGp in the future. “I’m sure they will give me a lot of headaches in the not-too-distant future and that there will be problems,” said the Honda rider. “Guevara won like a champion in Moto3, he has great talent, and we’ll see how he goes in Moto2. Last year he was blocked by Acosta. They are both very good, although they have different styles.”

“Of course I’m excited when I see guys like these, but at the same time I’m not, because I know they will make things difficult for me in the future,” the Catalan explained wryly. “In Moto2 now they will learn from their mistakes, they will grow and I’m sure they will make it all the way to MotoGp.
