F1, Ferrari in disarray: Mercedes ready to overtake
Only the Brazilian and Abu Dhabi GPs are missing.
Ferrari is in free fall. Even in the Mexican GP, the F1-75 has largely disappointed. Team Principal Binotto cannot come up with an explanation. The Rossa’s last success was at the Austrian Grand Prix in early July.
Ferrari lost in oblivion while Mercedes seems to have found itself again. The Hamilton-Russell duo continues to grind out world points, and with two races left in the World Championship, the question of second place in the constructors’ standings is still in play. The Cavallino has 487 points, +40 over Mercedes, which, however, is significantly better off in terms of performance and results. It will take a lot of pride from Ferrari in Brazil and Abu Dhabi to finish in second place.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One World Championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance World Championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
