Inter: harsh condemnation of events in Curva Nord
On Saturday night Vittorio Boiocchi, 69, Inter’s ultras leader, died from the aftermath of a shooting that took place in Figino, on the western outskirts of Milan. Upon learning the news, the Curva Nord forced all fans in the sector to leave the stadium as a sign of respect.
Inter through an official statement sentenced: “FC Internazionale Milano firmly condemns any episode of coercion that occurred Saturday night at the second green ring of the San Siro stadium. The club, which in every venue fights against all kinds of violence, reaffirms the essential values of brotherhood, inclusion and anti-discrimination and expresses its total solidarity with those fans who were forced to give up what they hold most dear: their love and passion for Inter.”
“The Club – which works every year to strengthen the security and surveillance presence inside the stadium – once again reaffirms its total cooperation with the Police to ensure the protection of the rights of its fans,” the note concludes.
