MotoGp, Enea Bastianini gives advice to Pecco Bagnaia
Team Gresini centaur gives advice to Bagnaia
Good first day of free practice, at Valencia’s ‘Ricardo Tormo’ circuit, for Enea Bastianini. The Team Gresini centaur finished, at the end of FP2, with the fifth time of the day, stopping the clock on 1′ 30″ 394, almost two tenths from the leader, Luca Marini.
At the end of FP2, Bastianini spoke about Pecco Bagnaia, who will play his chance to win the MotoGP on Sunday, starting 23 points ahead of Fabio Quartararo.
“I have to say it’s not easy to handle, because you know your life can change, especially when you become world champion for the first time. I remember I didn’t sleep the night before the race, but it was a great thrill to know that I could become world champion. That is the thing to manage, but I think Pecco is in the condition to be able to be quite calm,” said the Italian driver, in the words reported by ‘Motorsport’.
Then Bastianini, who will race with the official Ducati team next year, explained what it would be like to share the box with the world champion: “There would be pros and cons. Pecco will be the man to beat next year, however, it can also be a motivation, because it would be nice to confront a world champion. Then the spirit inside the box will be more relaxed and calmer, so to arrive with Pecco as champion can be even better.”
