Pecco Bagnaia comes to terms with anxiety and worry
The words of Pecco Bagnaia
Pecco Bagnaia is not calm after qualifying in Valencia. “I’m okay, but I’m not too satisfied because we expected a better feeling on this track. Not with all the Ducatis, but we are struggling with the feeling on the front and we can’t be too consistent. Last year I was running with a very similar pace to this. I analyzed the PL4s of the last two years and they were the same, but last year I could ride with more ease, while today I struggle more, especially with the new tires. With the used ones we are all closer, while with the new ones the others can make a little more difference.”
“In the end anxiety and worries you have to live them as a good experience and that’s what I have to learn to do. With the used tires I don’t feel the performance drops that much, the problem is the new ones, when the others manage to find those two to three tenths less. It may be a problem in the race, but that is a separate moment, in I will have to focus only on the race itself. We’ll see tomorrow: I’ll try to get a good start, although replicating the Malaysian start here will be more difficult. But we will try.”
