Milan, Stefano Pioli bluntly on De Ketelaere
Pioli disappointed after draw with Cremonese
AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli spoke to Dazn microphones after the 0-0 draw against Cremonese in the match valid for the 14th day of the Serie A championship.
First, the Italian champions’ coach addressed Charles De Ketelaere, who took over from Brahim Diaz: “I understand the media effect around the player, but we have to forget how much he was paid. We can all play better, more qualitative and more dangerous soccer.”
Then a few words also about Rafael Leao who, like the Belgian, came in from the bench without being able to turn the game around: “It’s wrong to always focus on an individual. If we work well as a team we win, if we don’t work well as a team we don’t win. But if Leao doesn’t perform up to standard we should not point fingers.”
