Tottenham eliminated from the Carabao Cup
Tottenham was surprisingly eliminated by Nottingham Forest (2-0 in the final) in the Carabao Cup. Bad all of Conte’s players, especially Kane who was substituted in the 59th minute with Tottenham already down by two goals.
On the substitution of his star striker, the Italian coach was lapidary: “He is really, really very tired. Besides, we had a soft training yesterday and at a certain point he stopped to recover his energy,” his words reported by The Sun. Not good news for Southgate who, at the World Cup, needs the best Kane possible to hope to go a long way.
