Sofia Goggia celebrates 30th birthday
Sofia Goggia joins the ‘enta’ group: the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic downhill champion is celebrating her 30th birthday.
The Bergamo native, coming off a complicated season in which she still won the specialty World Cup and in which she placed the second Olympic medal of her career (silver in Beijing 2022) around her neck, is ready to dive into the new year.
Goggia will be aiming for her fourth World Cup specialty title: in fact, in downhill, the newly 30-year-old hit the top spot in 2018 and then in 2021 and 2022. A third consecutive first place, the fourth of her career, could come in 2023.
