Reyer Venezia’s point guard warns World Cup bigs

Reyer Venezia and Azzurri national team point guard Marco Spissu spoke about Italbasket’s centered qualification for the FIBA 2023 World Cup.

“Quite simply we are a solid group that works hard to achieve our goals. We are taking satisfaction as we already did in the European Championships, and this is important,” explained the Sardinian player, in the interview with ‘Il Corriere dello Sport’.

“Do we never give up? It depends on the fact that we are good together, that we help each other and I think it showed on the field, I think the fans understand this. Regardless of who is there or who is missing, we play together, as a team, that’s the spirit of this great group,” Spissu continued.

Finally, a warning for the bigs: “We have grown so much and we are growing as a team. We will definitely go to the World Cup to do our best and honor the blue jersey. Then we are ready to dream and have fun and give the bigs a run for their money.”
