More mauling on Max Verstappen.

Joining the chorus of criticism about what happened in Brazil is Jenson Button: the former world champion, like many others for that matter, did not like Max Verstappen’s behavior.

“He missed a golden opportunity,” he remarked on Sky Sports F1’s “Any Driven Monday.” It is not acceptable to be told, ‘No, I will not let him go. I have my reasons’ like he did. Not discussing it properly before the race was a mistake, Red Bull put themselves in this negative situation. ‘Checo, here are these points. You are second in the World Championship and we will finish first and second in the championship’ is what Max should have said.”

It was Sebastian Vettel who was the first driver to win a world championship with Red Bull. The German put everyone in line for four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013. The Austrian stable returned to success in 2021 thanks to Dutchman Max Verstappen, with the son of art repeating the following year. If there was a battle to the last in 2021, that was not the case in 2022.
