U.S. tennis legend Jimmy Connors, at the microphones of his Advantage Connors podcast enthused about the new generation about to break into tennis. “Now we are finally seeing the replacements for the three who have dominated the last 20 years, Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.”
“These guys are finally stepping up. It’s one thing to do it in Paris-Bercy, it’s another to do it in Australia, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Us Open. It’s good to see these guys coming through: we’ve been waiting for the new generation, and it’s finally here. Alcaraz, Sinner, Auger-Aliassime, Rune, they will be the next Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.”
