The Olimpia player admitted that he doesn’t feel he has arrived yet

Olimpia Milano’s big forward Giampaolo Ricci spoke ahead of Friday’s Nov. 18 trip, which will see the meneghina team engaged in Kaunas in the eighth day of the Euroleague.

“To tell you the truth, after participating in an Olympics and several international competitions, I don’t feel I have arrived even now. We would miss that, it’s something that is not part of my character. Here, when, days ago in Tbilisi some kids at the airport recognized me and asked for the T-shirt, I felt really happy. Well, I thought about it for a while, but the path goes on anyway and we need to get back to work immediately for Olimpia Milano’s commitments, which, in the EuroLeague, absolutely must catch up, starting with the next game in Lithuania. As it is right for a team of great players led by a coach of the value of Ettore Messina and supported by an organization of absolute level that always puts you in a position to give your best,” admitted the former Virtus Bologna in an interview with ‘Il Centro-Quotidiano dell’Abruzzo’.

Finally, a few words for coach Pozzecco: “A technician with great emotionality who manages, however, to be always lucid, ready to motivate you, to give you confidence. Able, like Meo Sacchetti himself to whom I owe so much, to understand the state of mind of his players and what they can give in a given moment of the game. A good relationship has been created within the Blue group and this bodes well.”
