Tomas Woldetensae Speaks

Varese Basketball wants to continue to impress in the league and on Sunday, November 27, it is engaged on the court of Tezenis Verona in the postponement of the eighth day of Serie A, scheduled at 8 p.m.

Tomas Woldetensae told official channels ahead of the match with the Venetians: “We are going through a positive period and this makes us particularly happy and optimistic for the continuation of the championship; we feel ready to face any kind of team and Verona, which we will meet on Sunday night, is not to be outdone. We have to face it with the same grit we put in the previous games playing our basketball made of speed, defensive focus and quick offensive transitions; we have to focus exclusively on us to be able to get the better of it.”

“The new working methodology? Having played in the U.S. personally I can say that I am used to the “American” style even though in Virginia the coaching style is closer to the “European” style. In any case, trying new things always helps to stimulate oneself and learn more about all facets of basketball. Did we expect such a start? Definitely we went beyond the expectations that were there and we are proud of that also because being able to go against the grain is always stimulating; the many fans who came to the arena to see us in our last outings testify to that,” concluded the red and white guard.
