Australia, first smile: Duke knocks out Tunisia

After a heavy defeat against France, Australia bounced back to qualify for the round of 16 at Qatar 2022 by beating Tunisia 1-0 on the second day of Group D.
Deciding the first of the four challenges scheduled for satate Nov. 26 was a goal scored in the 23rd minute of the first half by Mitchell Duke: the twisting header, inside the penalty area, by the Australian striker on the Japanese Okayama side left Dahmen no chance, proving decisive for the fate of the match.
Tunisia’s onslaught in the second half, which was willing but at times confused, was not enough: Australia flies to 3 points in the standings and will play for access to the round of 16 on the last day of the round, while the North Africans (at 1) will have to hope for a miracle against France.
