Alex Sandro knocked out with Brazil: medical bulletin
To the official channels of the Brazilian national team, doctor Rodrigo Lasmar updated on the conditions of Danilo and Neymar: “They are still recovering from the ankle injury, each with a different approach as they are different injuries. This is important to point out. Neymar had a fever episode that is now under control and this does not interfere with the ankle recovery process.”
Lasmar also spoke about Alex Sandro: “He felt pain in the left hip region and was unable to continue the match against Switzerland. This morning he was reevaluated. We requested an imaging examination, an MRI, which showed a muscle injury in the left hip. The athlete will not participate in the next match against Cameroon and will continue treatment so that he can recover as soon as possible.”
Coming off a win against Switzerland thanks to Casemiro’s goal, Brazil is first with full points in Group G. The match against Cameroon will kick off at 8 p.m. on Friday.
