Genoa knocked out, for Alexander Blessin, normalcy is far away
Another defeat, making his future increasingly in the balance.
Alexander Blessin does not feel safe on the bench of Genoa, once again defeated at Marassi where Cittadella came out on top on Sunday. And, at the microphones of ‘Sky Sport,’ the Grifone coach admitted the problems his team is going through. And also the fact that the plans are going profoundly different from his expectations.
“Normally I think I can win today’s game, and in the future do it in the next one against Südtirol. Then also do it in the one after that with Ascoli,” Blessin stressed. “The normality would be this, to win and still win. We wanted to do that already today, to get back on the right track. Unfortunately, however, it did not turn out that way.”
“Right now, as is obvious, the feelings are not good,” Blessin said instead about his future at the helm of Genoa. Meanwhile, Ligurian broadcaster ‘Primocanale’ speaks of an increasingly close exoneration, with the possible arrival of Alberto Gilardino in the German coach’s place.
