Claudio Ranieri’s truth about the Genoa bench
The truth from the former Roma and Sampdoria coach among others
On Tuesday, November 6, Genoa announced the dismissal of German coach Alexander Blessin. The bench was entrusted to the now former spring coach Alberto Gilardino.
Interviewed by the ‘Secolo XIX’ spoke Claudio Ranieri, who was one of the alternatives to lead the Grifone, fresh off two points in the last five games, in the second half of the season.
However, the former coach of Roma and Leicester among others admitted how there has never been any contact: “No one has sought me out but if there had been any contact I would certainly not say so.”
“I am a professional, from my side there would be no preclusion towards Genoa,” concluded Ranieri, on the possibility of going Genoa, despite his past at Sampdoria.
