F1, from Stefano Domenicali important updates
F1, Stefano Domenicali outspoken on sustainability
Stefano Domenicali gave high marks to Formula 1’s work over the past 12 months to make the sport more sustainable: “We are committed to making Formula 1 more sustainable and increasing diversity and opportunity in this incredible sport. We have made great progress in 2022 but we need to keep working.”
“We have implemented important initiatives in our journey to become Net Zero Carbon by 2030, expanded our scholarship program for underrepresented groups, and also announced the F1 Academy that will provide opportunities for young women to begin their journey to the highest levels of our sport. We are proud of what we are offering but know that we must continue to make progress and make positive and lasting changes for Formula 1,” reads F1’s official website.
These are the words of Ellen Jones, Head of Sustainability F1: “It’s three years into our journey to Net Zero by 2030 and it’s great to see the progress that has already been made. The work behind the scenes to bring this strategy to life is tireless and we are confident that we are building a solid foundation for the future of our business and our sport. I want to say thank you to the entire Formula 1 world, our fans, teams, race promoters and many others, for your efforts this year as we build a more sustainable and inclusive business. We look forward to working even more with you in the coming year.”
