At 8 p.m. Italian time on Tuesday, Dec. 6, the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar will come to a close with the match at Lusail Stadium between Portugal and Switzerland. Cristiano Ronaldo and teammates finished top of Group H while the Swiss placed second, after Brazil, in Group G.
Lusitanians’ coach Fernando Santos is expected to field the classic 4-3-1-2 already seen in previous outings. The attacking pair formed by CR7 and Joao Felix is confirmed, with Bruno Fernandes in support.
Murat Yakin’s national team will take the field with 4-2-3-1: the starters from the group matches will also be confirmed for the Swiss, starting with Embolo and Shaqiri, both of whom scored against Serbia in the decisive challenge for passage to the round of 16.
