Geraint Thomas will be in the Tour 2023

After the confirmations of Remco Evenepoel, Jay Hindley, Damiano Caruso, and Thibaut Pinot, among others, the yes to the Giro 2023 from another bigwig of world cycling like Geraint Thomas has arrived in the last hours.

The Briton of the Ineos Grenadiers, who will turn 37 in May, admitted speaking to ‘Cyclingnews’ that he really likes the route designed by the organizers of the Pink Race, and therefore wants to put himself to the test to try to put another grand tour in his trophy cabinet, after the Tour de France won in 2018.

Thomas, who has almost always preferred the Tour to other grand tours in his career (in addition to his victory in 2018, he finished second in 2019 and third in 2022), has only competed in the Giro four times: in 2008 he finished 118th, in 2012 80th, while he did not finish the three-week race in either 2017 or 2020.
