Argentina triumphs: Valentino Rossi’s tribute

Valentino Rossi also wanted to congratulate Argentina after their world triumph at the end of an unforgettable final against France in Qatar.

The nine-time world champion in a story on Instagram posted a photo montage of Messi and Maradona, with the words “What a final, great Argentina.” The Doctor is beloved in the South American country, where he has always been hailed at every Grand Prix at the Rio Hondo track. In 2015, when he won, he wore the number 10 shirt of the great Diego Maradona on the podium.

Valentino Rossi has won nine world titles and also boasts the record, exclusive in MotoGP history, of having managed to win in all categories: 125, 250, 500 and MotoGp. A motorcycling icon, he retired in Valencia in November 2021, and his famous number 46 was retired at the last Mugello Grand Prix, held in May 2022.
