Perugia wins in fog and closes B round

Perugia beats Venezia 2-1 at the ‘Renato Curi’ and closes, with 3 important points in terms of salvation, the 18th round of Serie B.

In the fog that descends on the playing field of the Umbrian capital (not enough, however, to create problems to the regular course of the game), the man-of-the-match is Francesco Lisi, who scores in the 8′ and 15′ for the hosts coached by Fabrizio Castori. The orange-and-orange greenies have the merit of not giving up but Pohjanpalo’s goal in the 94th minute is useful only to halve the disadvantage at the triple whistle.

Thanks to the success, Perugia continues its comeback attempt: while remaining last it goes to 16 points, -4 from the salvation zone. Venice, on the other hand, remains stuck at 19 and currently occupies one of the two playout spots.
