Cagliari: 3-year Daspo for Andrea Cossu
Former Rossoblu midfielder Andrea Cossu punished for allegedly punching a steward
Former Cagliari midfielder Andrea Cossu, currently a manager of the Sardinian club, has received a three-year Daspo order issued by the Questore of Venice for an incident dating back to the last Serie A championship match on May 22 this year. Ansa reports.
At the end of the match, which sealed Cagliari’s relegation to Serie B, a Venice steward accused Cossu of punching him, triggering a lawsuit and police investigation. After the anti-crime division’s investigation in parallel between the Venice and Cagliari police headquarters, the Daspo arrived.
According to Ansa, other measures would be ready regarding the group of Rossoblu fans who attempted to arrive in Piazza San Marco in a procession but were blocked by police forces. Already a dozen fans were hit by Daspo, and the number could increase.
