Federica Brignone, we start again from the Semmering slope
Federica Brignone in Semmering
Austria’s Semmering slope will host two giant slaloms on Tuesday, December 27 and Wednesday, December 28 (one of them makes up for the race canceled in Solden last October), while a slalom will be held on Thursday, December 29. Among the wide gates will be Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone, Asja Zenere, Laura Pirovano, Lisa Platino, Roberta Melesi and 20-year-old rookie Annette Belfrond, from Prè Saint Didier in the Aosta Valley, who is a member of the Centro Sportivo Esercito, a daughter of art (dad Matteo was a World Cup jumper in the 1990s) and Italian youth champion who is making her way to the European Cup. Five, on the other hand, entered the race between the narrow poles: Marta Rossetti, Lara Della Mea, Lucrezia Lorenzi, Anita Gulli and the returning Martina Peterlini.
Italy boasts in the resort located in the Neunkirchen district two victories (Karen Putzer in giant in 2002 and Deborah Compagnoni in slalom in 1996), two second places (Manuela Moelgg in giant in 2008 and Deborah Compagnoni in slalom also in 1996) and three third places (Manuela Moelgg in giant in 2016, Nicole Gius in slalom in 2002 and Denise Karbon in giant in 2002).
